Welcome to my website. I am a Marriage and Family Therapist with a full time private practice in the west San Fernando Valley. I have been in practice for over 25 years and specialize in adolescents and their families. While the teen years are so exciting, they are often challenging and painful. It can be extremely beneficial to have a therapist help navigate both teenagers and their parents through this very important and sometimes difficult time.

Working with athletes to improve their performance, as well as  decreasing performance related anxiety, is a large part of my practice. I have worked with professional athletes, as well as those competing on the high school,  college, and Olympic level. Athletes, regardless of their competition level, have their unique circumstances and challenges. Helping them to achieve their full potential to compete at their highest level is the goal of this type of treatment.  This work is both rewarding and has a successful outcome for the client.  The understanding of the competitive nature of the athlete, as well as the physical, emotional and mental demands they face are crucial to helping them to succeed.

Treatment for my clients  provides a safe, non-judgmental environment where we can set goals together to work toward a healthy and fulfilling life. Often people enter therapy to change destructive patterns of behavior, heal from a breakup, or for emotional support from a significant loss. In addition to these issues, I work with parents to communicate more effectively with their teens and to aid with parenting skills and methods. I believe that each individual has their own unique nature and strengths needed to fulfill their goals in treatment.

The goal of successful therapy is helping my clients realize their strengths and utilize them to their full and healthy potential. Allowing oneself to be present and grateful in our lives is the ultimate gift we can learn to give to ourselves. Therapy is hard work as well as rewarding.  I welcome the opportunity to share this process with my clients.

I love my work and believe very strongly in the power of psychotherapy to improve one’s quality of life. If you feel I can be of help to you, please feel free to call me.
